2002 Season Results

The race for the RMR Modified Championship is over. There is only a 100 lap non-points "money" (now there's an oxymoron if I ever saw one) race on Sept 21. We gave it a good shot, but events conspired against us in the last two races. A frozen wheel bearing in the 08/24 race put us back to 8th place. Still there was a shot going into the last race. This time a disintegrating fuel filter clogged the carburetor causing a dismal qualifying run. Then another OVE (other vehicle encounter) put us out of the Heat Race. The backup carburetor ran reasonably well in the main, but by that time it was all over but the shouting. We still finished comfortably in 2 place. Congratulations to Lynn Hardy on his 3rd Modified championship.
